Rising Legend

This is a project me and Fotsieman are making, it's still in early development (we are still working on our first map and kind of coming up with a plot)
Once I make a trailer, it will be posted here, and the same thing counts for proper screenshots, if you have any ideas for a good plot, feel free to post them here, it may help us a lot

this is gonna be fun, because i'm helping

my first game and a professional is helping me (at least from my point of view) so nothing will go wrong, hopefully. but of course the game making will be done by keyamon, i'll think of what will happen, and some other stuff.

Is there any information on the actual game out yet? Like whats the game about and what features will it have etc

We have just started, we only have the title screen lol, i'll try to put up some characters once i get home (stupid school lol)

looks hoof yo mr, the two sprites there look nice. did you make all of that, or did u find the battlers/sprites somewhere else?


edit: look at underlined text. what the hell IS that? a major mistype. I have no clue what i was meaning to type.

i found them lol, i had to make the screen very fast, i just stumbled upon them by luck.

I absolutely HATE!!!! WITH A PASSION the text. Everything else looks great

The background on the title screen sort of seems to clash with the foreground, don't know if its the color scheme or how abstract it is. Otherwise good work.

thanks, i've tried many backgrounds, and this one seemed to be the best one for the title screen, im glad you guys like it

EDIT: here's the new title screen, i like this one better then the last one, the text resembles ashes or something (this is not an in-game screenshot, thats why the text bar isn't visible here.)

Okay, plot idea:

The two guys on your title screen, I'm gonna call them Bill and Ted.
Bill and Ted had been best friends growing up together, but had grown up in the midst of a civil war. Though they always disagreed on which side was right in the war, they never talked about it.
Bill believed that the government of the country (we're going to call it... Bastardia) was right. Ted believed the rebels were right.
Eventually, the government rolls through looking for a couple of high profile rebels, and kills some civillians in the process.
Thus the two must seperate. Here the player gets to choose which character to be, and therefore which storyline to follow. If he chooses Ted, he goes on to lead the rebellion and win the war. If he chooses Bill, he will defeat the rebels and restabilize the country.

Neither side is necesarily the right one, and both have valid points.
Throw in a magic artifact here and there, a couple of lizard like monsters, and you yourself and RPG.

thats a nice storyline, murcu, ill see what fotsieman thinks of it, but as far as im thinking, this one will be it

i managed to do some decent production to the game since i finished part one of my other game, there are 2 storylines in the game, i will upload a demo soon.

i've already played what's finished, and ik can tell you, its gonna be good. the best thing about it is that you can choose a side.

i wish more games were like that

America's Army
Counter-Strike (every version)
Kingdom Under Fire (it sucks so bad though)

i think he means rpg maker games with multiple storylines..
